Fall Fun

We've had a lot of fun this fall!! We've had a few warm sunny days so we could get outside for walks. And when the weather turned cold we head to The Waters of Minocqua for some family time and swimming!

Go Badgers!!

Kaylen wakes up every morning with a big smile for us! And sometimes, she has some crazy hair too:)

Mommy and Kaylen:)

At our 4 month well-child checkup, the doctor said we could start feeding her cereal and veggies. She really is doing great learning how to eat and even drink from a sippy cup! We can't believe how big she's getting.

Cousin Mallory and Kaylen! They are getting really fun now when we get together since they're both old enough to play now.

All 3! Kaylen, Sam and Mallory

Above is a picture of Grandma Cheri when she was 6 months old. It is unbelievable how much Kaylen looks like this picture. The hair, the face, the hands are all the same. And, Kaylen makes that exact expression all the time!

Kaylen is learning how to sit up all by herself!

Sunday afternoon snuggles with Daddy are the best!

Kaylen's mohawk!

I decided to take her outside for some "fall" pictures on the last warm day we had this October. Her next outside posed pictures will probably be in the snow!

"Mooo"

Kaylen is 5+ months old already and we can't believe how fast it has gone. We are excited for the next few months as she learns to crawl and walk and talk! But, we want time to slow down a little bit so we can really enjoy her at this age. I think the age she is right now is my favorite so far.

Kaylen and I swimming in the pool at The Waters of Minocqua. It was a perfect weekend and so much fun for all 3 of us!

Chunky Monkey

Kaylen is 4 months old now!! And her cheeks are getting so chubby:)
The doctor gave the OK to start feeding her cereal. Although she really doesn't need the extra food until she's about 6 months, it's good practice to learn how to eat off a spoon.

twinkle toes:)

Here she is smiling at Daddy. She LOVES her daddy!

Hey Mom, I dropped my toy!

Kaylen's first time eating cereal.

Enjoying the last few warm, sunny days of September

Band-aids make 4 month shots hurt a little less.

Kaylen enjoying our brand new dining room floor!

Trying on the hat from Grandma Cheri...kind of looks like clown hair.

Even babies can have bad hair days. At least she makes it look cute!

Such a big girl in her jumperoo!

"So Big!"

We can't believe our little Peanut is 4 months old already! She's growing so fast. She's been rolling over for quite a while now, starting to eat cereal, and talking our ears off! We can't believe how much fun she is now. Can't wait to see what October will bring for us:)

4 Month Doctor Appointment

We had Kaylen's 4 month doctor appointment today! She now weighs 14 pounds 9 ounces and is 24 inches long! She is in the 70th percentile for weight, height, and head size. The doctor was impressed that she's rolling over already and at how coordinated she is. She is getting so good at grabbing things (and putting them in her mouth!). She got another round of immunizations and we're hoping they go as well as they did 2 months ago for her. Last time, she spiked a little fever the next day, but nothing the tylenol couldn't handle. We're going to start trying some cereal with her in the next couple of weeks and see how it goes! She's been very interested in watching us eat so I think she's ready to stat eating herself. We'll post pictures again soon, she's growing and changing so much everyday!

I am home for maternity leave until November 2nd and am LOVING every second of it. I'm starting to miss the kids and school, but it will still be hard to leave her when the time comes.

August (without the sunshine)

Now that Kaylen is getting older (and bigger) she loves playing with all her toys. Her monkey mat is one of her favorites! She's finally learned how to pull on the monkey's ring to make him sing a song to her.

Kaylen and Daddy:)

Kaylen chewing on "Knots" the elephant! yummy

Another of Kaylen's favorite past times is reading books.

Happy to be at an outdoor wedding, even though it was the only hot day in August, still fun!
Above is a picture of Kaylen and I at a Wausau Woodchucks Baseball game. We loved getting out to the games this year. Next year will be more interesting when we're chasing her around the ballpark.

Kaylen and her huge sunglasses.

Kaylen and cousin McKenna.

Now that Kaylen is 3 months old, she thinks it's absolutely necessary to be upright whenever possible to look around. Sitting up or even better standing up are her newest joys. She will stand and play in here forever if I let her!

Since I had to go back to work for 7 days we had to get Kaylen used to taking a bottle. Sometimes she just screams when we give it to her, but other times she takes it OK and even holds it herself. We're working on it and she's getting better, which is nice for mommy too!

Our little "blue eyes". This adorable hat was made by Sandy Waltzer and it fits her perfectly. It's so cute, we love it.

The blankie on Kaylen's head is her new "must" for going to sleep. Good thing Grandma Cheri made 2 of them in case one is in the wash.

Mallory and Kaylen are so cute together now. They talk to each other, smile at each other and even suck on each other's fingers!

Here are the girls before bedtime:)

More Summer Fun

Grandpa and Grandma Majewski have a new campsite and we took some time to go visit them. Megan, Hubble and McKenna were there too so Kaylen got some cousin time! McKenna got to go swimming in the pool there, and next year Kaylen will too!

In the pictures above and below, Kaylen is wearing a #1 shirt that was mine when I was a little girl! There's a picture of me wearing it when I was close to Kaylen's age now. It's fun to be able to dress her up in my old clothes.

Bobbi, Sam and Mallory came to visit for a weekend and we had so much fun! Above is a picture of the girls in the car on the way to Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Here they were seeing who could lift their heads farther off the ground. I think Kaylen was cheating because she's propping herself up with the arms under her body!

Every time they visit our house we have to have a picture of them in the overstuffed chair, just like we did when Kaylen was 4 days old!

I love this picture!!! I love the way Sam is talking to Kaylen and Kaylen is looking at him and listening. Sam is such a sweet cousin and big brother, whenever we lay the girls on the floor he comes over and asks if he can lay between them! He must get enough Mallory time because he usually wants to hold and kiss Kaylen instead of his sister:)

This is my favorite picture of the 3 of them so far!

Above is a picture of Kaylen all bundled up at the Woodchuck's Baseball Game. We love going to games and it's perfect because she can come along. She loves to sit up and look around at the all lights and action. And when she's tired, we can put her in her stroller and let her fall asleep. I have a feeling the games next year will be quite different for us!
