Ultrasound Pictures!!

We had a second ultrasound today to recheck my placenta placement. The ultrasound tech didn't say much about the placenta, but we have a doctor's appointment on Thursday so we'll find out then if it has moved up enough yet. Above is a 2-dimensional profile picture of baby. The baby sure has grown since our ultrasound in December!

Above is our favorite picture that we got. We can see baby's face pretty well. We can't decide if baby looks like a girl or a boy though! Anyone think they know?

I like this picture too, because it looks like baby is giving us half of a smile! It sure is fun to see the baby move around and get some peeks of his or her face.

Into the 3rd Trimester!

27 weeks

We can't believe how fast the middle part of this pregnancy has gone. We're in the final stretch now!!! Baby will be here in 3 short months. We have been working on getting the nursery put together. Grandma Cheri is working on bedding and curtains for us, but we got the walls painted, the border up, the crib put together and the dresser/changing table set up. Here are some pictures of what we have so far.

25 week Doctor Appointment

We had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday and again, baby and mom are doing fine! Baby's heart rate is still around 148 beats per minute...not sure if that means girl or boy though:) I had my glucose screening for diabetes as well, but haven't heard any results yet. No news is good news, I hope! We also scheduled our next ultrasound for February 23rd to check placenta placement in hopes it has moved up and out of the way. We are really excited to get new pictures of our baby. We are still hoping to keep the sex a surprise for May, so hopefully we won't get any sneak peeks at the ultrasound. I hope everyone in Wisconsin is joining the warmer weather, I know we sure are!

Nursery Pictures

We got the nursery painted last weekend thanks to Grandma Ann and Grandpa Dick! Below are pictures of the new wall color which is called mocha suede. It will be a great background for the espresso colored furniture and cute wall border we picked out.

Below is the cute border we ordered online. We are not really going with an all-out theme, but we like the monkeys and shades of brown in this border. We figured we can either accent with blue if baby is a boy, or pink if baby is a girl!

I found this monkey fabric at the fabric store and once Grandma Cheri comes home we'll be asking her to make some drapes, crib bumpers, diaper stacker, etc...out of the monkey material. We'll definately post more pictures once we get the crib in and the border up. Grandma Cheri already made a quilt for the baby that she'll finish when she gets home too.
