Happy Halloween!

We started decorating the house for Halloween a few weeks ago. Here is Kaylen painting her pumpkins. We figured this was a good alternative to carving them.

Here KK is wearing her Halloween tights. (Really, they were Mallory's tights I got her last Halloween that got handed down to Kaylen this year).

Sitting on the pumpkins on our front porch!

Grandma Ann got Kaylen a cute Halloween shirt "Daddy's under my spell". I think she wore it about 3-4 times in the past 2 weeks!

Our sweet little Elmo:) Yes, holding a toothbrush for trick-or-treating. Not because we are that strict with dental hygiene, but because KK is obsessed with our toothbrushes now!

Daddy and KK trick-or-treating for her first time:)

Mommy and Kaylen enjoying Halloween.
Our baby is 17 months old already...where has the time gone? She's growing up so fast! We can't believe how much she is talking now. Her imagination has grown too in the past few months. We love to watch her play feeding or diaper changing her babies and Elmo. I got out some play dishes and they are her new favorite things. We are not looking forward to Winter coming, but I'm sure we'll find plenty of fun things to do to pass the time.

Fifteen Months

We had a lot of fun this summer with our toddler!! We went to a lot of Woodchucs baseball games here in Wausau. They were very entertaining for all 3 of us. Kaylen got to jump in the bounce house a couple of times when it wasn't packed with big kids. The rest of the time she played in the dirt or ran around in the grass area.
Here KK and Daddy are both doing fish lips:)

Summer+Popsicles=one happy girl

Here is Kaylen riding on Grandma and Grandpa's pontoon boat at the lake on a hot day

Here is Kaylen coloring with her crayons-a new favorite activity of hers. Usually, this means dumping all the crayons on the floor, scribbling on the paper for about a minute, then trying to stand on the crayons.

Kaylen was trying on a winter hat that was mine when I was a little girl. She's ready for skiing at Kettlebowl! Although, we are not ready for snow yet.

Our one year old!

It has been forever since I've updated this blog! Kaylen has grown and changed so much in the past 3 months it's just crazy. She started walking the middle of April (at 11 months) and hasn't slowed down since. She quickly moved to running and exploring everything in sight. Her favorite things right now are playing at the splash pad at Marathon Park, Woodchucks Baseball games, going down slides, gymnastics and swimming lessons at the YMCA, playing at the island by Grandma and Grandpa Guenthner's cottage, eating ice cubes and popsicles, and watching sesame street.
She is very advanced in her speech as well. She says 3 word sentences already! Last night when we got home from dinner she said "take shoes off". She's so much fun!!!

Kaylen~February 2010

Kaylen is 9 months old and getting to be so much fun! She has such a big personality already. She has been crawling for a couple of months and pulling herself up on everything. She walks really well when holding our hands so it won't be long before she can figure it out on her own. Every now and then we catch her standing up and not holding on to anything! She says "Ma Ma" "Da Da" "Ra Ra" (which is her name for Grandma Cheri) and "bath". Other than that, she knows quite a few sign language signs too. She loves chasing around our cat Jinxy and trying to meow like her:) We can't wait until the weather is nice enough to get outside a little more!

A "Guenthner" Family Photo! My cousin Courtney is having a baby so we got together for her baby shower. Here is a picture of the children/grandchildren/great grandchildren of my Grandma Guenthner who were at the shower.

Kaylen and Aunt Margie!

Kaylen wearing mommy's old winter hat.

Kaylen and Mallory crawling around. Bobbi and Mallory stopped at my house before heading back to Appleton. I love how the girls interact now with one another.

Chad threw me a surprise 30th birthday party on February 13th at Buffalo Wild Wings. Here's a picture of McKenna and Kaylen waiting to eat.

Kaylen loves going outside and even in the winter we try to find time to get her outside when it's not too cold. We had a nice day, so daddy took her out sledding in the yard.

Me and my peanut:)

Kaylen helping mommy decide what to make for dinner:) She is in to everything now! No cupboard, drawer, or shelf is safe from Kaylen anymore.

Kaylen~8 Months

Kaylen is 8 months old and growing like a weed! She is crawling faster than we can keep up with and pulling herself up to stand on everything and anything. She'll be walking before we know it!

One of the most exciting times of the day is when Daddy gets home from work. You can see her waiting at the gate for him!

Here's our big girl crawling to me!

Family Photo:)
Kaylen went to the babysitters so we could go to Chad's Christmas party. Here we are before the party.

Here's a picture of Kaylen's first time sledding. I pulled her around the neighbor's yard on the one warm day we had in January. She LOVED it! If the temperatures would stay above 20 degrees, we could maybe do it again.

Cousins!
Kaylen, Sam and Mallory in the middle of January when we exchanged Christmas gifts. Sam is such a good big brother/cousin. He's very protective of Kaylen especially.

Kaylen and Mallory in their pajamas having their morning drinks.

McKenna and Kaylen at Grandma Ann's house.

Starting just after the New Year, Kaylen learned to stand up in her crib. In this picture, she looks just like I did when I was her age:)

Learning to walk. She's growing up so fast, we can hardly believe she's only 8 months old. The past 8 months have flown by. We're loving watching her grown and change, but it's always bitter sweet to watch time fly so fast.
