Happy Thanksgiving!!

I think I'm starting to have a little baby bump! Although most of my pants still fit, people are starting to notice the little extra weight I'm carrying around my waist. I'm finding this "in-between" time challenging since I'm not big enough for maternity pants, but my regular pants are getting a little snug. Luckily my sister and some friends have given me some great tips to get by the next few weeks. As we moved into the 2nd trimester, my sickness has definitely improved. As long as I eat when I'm hungry, I feel pretty good most of the time. Sleeping on the other hand, is still impossible. I'm awake a lot during the night and not sure why. As far as cravings, I eat about 2 bananas a day and LOVE my chocolate milk. I guess I'll take that over pickles and ice cream!! Our next doctor's appointment is December 11th so we'll update again after that. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Music To Our Ears!!!

We had our 3rd doctor's appointment today. We are just shy of 13 weeks. The doctor was able to find baby's heartbeat right away. The baby kept moving around so the doctor had to keep moving the wand to find it! Finally, she got a good angle and we heard it beating strong. At 150 beats per minute, the doctor said that's right where it should be! We were surprised at the "whoosh whoosh" sound baby's little heart made:) Hearing the heartbeat made all the sickness worth it. We can't wait until our next appointment in December to hear our baby again.

The first post!

We are going to use this blog as a way to keep our family and friends updated on our family. The biggest and newest news is that we're pregnant, and due around May 22nd, 2009!!! We found out we were pregnant the middle of September and are slowly now telling family our great news. We have a doctor's appointment on November 12th where we'll get to hear baby's heartbeat. At that point, I'll be almost 13 weeks pregnant so we'll share the news with everyone after that appointment. Unfortunately I have been feeling sick and extremely tired, so the first trimester has been a little trying on both Chad and I. Fortunately, it has been an uneventful and healthy pregnancy and we are thankful for that. Chad talked me into taking belly pictures, so I'll start by adding my "pre-pregnancy" picture which was taken the day after we got the positive pregnancy test.
