Baby's First Pictures

We had our ultrasound today and were just amazed at how baby has grown and developed! It was so fun to watch the baby kick and move during the hour long ultrasound. I don't think it liked the probing because it kept kicking it's little feet then crossing its legs. Here are baby's first pictures! I measured perfectly for my May 22nd due date. Baby is in the 40% so just a little smaller than the average (which I won't complain about!!)

Here is a picture of baby laying down. You can see the spine along the top. Baby's head is to the right facing down. The butt is on the left at the end of the spine and it's little legs are curled up underneath it.

Here is a 3-D picture of baby's face and neck. Baby is looking to the right so you can see it's chin, nose and one eye. The white printer line through the picture cuts right through baby's neck and chin. Unfortunately, baby kept turning and moving so we didn't get a good face shot.

Above is another picture of baby's face. Baby is lying down facing upwards. The big circle is zoomed in of the head. The nose is pointing up, the chin to the left. Again, baby kept turning away just as she was about to click the picture.

Chad and I are just amazed with this little baby and already in love with him or her. We can't wait until May!!!

Growing by the day!!

As you can see, the last 3 weeks has been a time of much growing for me and the baby! Luckily I still have a couple pair of non-maternity dress pants that sit low enough below my belly to still wear to work. Besides growing, I also have been feeling small fluttery movements the past week when the baby is sitting in just the right place. I'm waiting for the big KICK that is sure to happen one of these days:)

Doctor Appointment

We had another doctor's appointment yesterday and everything was GREAT! The baby's heartbeat was thumping loud and clear right around 150 beats per minute. Again, music to our ears:) The best news was that our doctor wanted our ultrasound scheduled before we go to Florida since she likes them done between 18 and 20 weeks. So, we have our ultrasound scheduled for next week Thursday!!! We can't wait to see the first pictures of our baby. The doctor also suggested flu shots since we'll be traveling on the airplane to Florida in a couple of weeks. So after a little complaining by Chad, we both got ours taken care of.
